Beware up there

                       I didn't know there were wild wooly beasts
                                at loose in the upper sky,
                     I'll just have to pray to stay out of their way
                              the next time I go up to fly.

Mermaid?

                          I thought I had seen a mermaid,
                            looking up at me from the blue;
                          I waited to see if she'd wink at me,
                           but she just disappeared from view.

Tired

                              ... and then there are days
                                    when you can't get inspired,
                                         when all you can find 
                                                  is an artistic tire! 

Add-on

                                 Don't know what to do with some pictures?
                              they're just a kind of a swirl?
                      so find a new item and put it inside 'em,
                           and voila!, you have a new world!

Whooooo?

                              I don't very often see real owls,
                                but the ones I happen to see,
                    just make me feel silly or give me the willies
                             cuz they're always staring at me!

Pelicanitis

                If pelicans have all these sisters and brothers.
                 why don't they ever bump into each other?

                          I'll report you today to the SPCA,

                   Why is it that ceilings have little appeal,
                'til the paint on their surface begins to peel?

Omen?

Street seen

             Mother Nature was sore when they built one road more,
                          and gave all the trees a back seat;
          So she broke through the tar, which discouraged the cars,
                    but let the trees grow through the street.

Nobility

                         Why is it they always look noble,

                         and honest and upright and true?

              Do they never have moods like everyday dudes,

                          are they never like me and you?

Spring dance

                        I like it when flowers are dancing,
                     with their different shapes and designs;
                    like the frolicking kids in the foreground,
                          and the watchful parents behind. 

Mixer

                        You don't often see white pelicans
                        and seldom see one of them single,
            but when they're together, these birds of a feather,
                           they do seem to like to mingle!

Drop-in

                              This fellow is a favorite guy,

                          they call him a Common Goldeneye;
                       he's been spending a winter vacation here,
                    but soon will be gone 'til we see him next year.

Sad sack

                          I've tried my luck a hundred times,
                               why can't I find a valentine?

Expecting...

                 For those who recall being pregnant this way,
                they'll know how it feels to be waiting the day.    

Cloud contest

                 It's cloud-racing time up there in the skies,
                   I wonder what winners get for a prize?

Coy ploy

                              It's fun to look so coquettish, 
                            I'd never have tried that before;
             but that's what you do, when you're not really you,
                            you're just some ceramic decor.

See tree

                         Yes it was nice to have some more rain,
            so I could shoot through a wet windshield again! 

Wet stuff

                   Lest there be those who forget how it looks,
                     this is the stuff that fills rivers and brooks.

                           Is there a time in an everyday life
                   when you can't understand what you feel?
           .. that there's something wrong with what's going on,
                            and everything seems unreal?

Remembering

                               This is a sad day for my  family, 
                  rememb'ring a loved one who's gone out to sea.

                  I know that expression "where can I be"?
               Did my ancestors have the same problems as me?

                          He may be only four months old
                               but notice this chap today;
               Look deep in his eyes, and you'll be surprised,
                             I'll bet you can't turn away.

                      They sent me out with the walker-man,
                           but with those big guys?  it's not fair! ;
                       I'm just a pup, I could never keep up,
                             So let him just drag me there!
