Morning glory

 

                                                  It's hard to get up  in the morning,
                                                         it's never a moment of bliss;    
                                                but how could you help but start smiling,
                                                      if you''re met with a greeting like this?!

                                             I've hung on this wall forever, it seems,
                                                  howllng my woes in thin air.
                                             Can't somebody answer  me sometime?
                                                  It really doesn't seem fair!
                                           
                                         

Tasty two-some

  

                                                  I reached for a clove of garlic,
                                                      but I'd  left it too long in the drawer.
                                                  Now I couldn't disturb this young couple,                                                  
                                                       I'll have to go back to the store.

Abandoned!

                                          They tossed us both to  the back of the car,
                                                then, laughing, went out to play.
                                          Let's hope when these little monsters grow up,
                                                they won't treat their children this way!

Shadow world

 

                                        Sometimes when you're nearing the end of the day,
                                                and shadows are painting the wall;
                                              it looks like a magical world out there,
                                                  and tempts us to answer the call.

Stalker

 

       
                                                         I know I am being followed,
                                                  he's hiding back there in the thicket.
                                                 Should I call for the marsh-bird police
                                                       to give  him a stalking ticket?

                                              If there are fairies at the bottom of my garden,
                                                           I hope one fairy will be
                                                 this cute little elf, who's splashing herself,
                                                        in a marvelous moment of glee!
