I was stopped in my tracks at the store today, when I saw this surprising bouquet; I was sure I'd been right, - that all calas are white, well, we learn something new every day!
In this day of changing the genes/dna of so many things, it is not surprising to see Calas of all colors. Actually, my uncle was instrumental in making these kinds of changes to carnations in the 1940's-50's....even named one for Mamie Eisenhower. So, guess it has been going on for a long time.
